Teacher Receives National Recognition in Pearson Teaching Awards

Mrs Parker, Assistant SENDCo at Longdendale High School, has been recognised with a Pearson National Teaching Awards Certificate of Achievement for SEND and Inclusive Practice, celebrating her outstanding contribution to education and the positive impact she makes on the lives of young people.

Mrs Parker received the prestigious award following a nomination from Longdendale High School, recognising her dedication, passion for education and commitment to supporting students to achieve their full potential.

The Pearson National Teaching Awards celebrate excellence in education and recognise the significant contribution made by teachers, leaders, support staff and institutions across the UK. Each year, thousands of nominations are submitted by schools, colleges, pupils, parents and colleagues to acknowledge those who go above and beyond to make a difference in education.

As part of this year’s recognition, Mrs Parker also received a personal letter from Sir Michael Morpurgo, President of the Teaching Awards Trust, acknowledging her achievement and contribution to the teaching profession.

Mrs Parker’s nomination highlighted the positive impact she has on students and colleagues, as well as her commitment to creating opportunities for young people to thrive both academically and personally.

Headteacher Michael Chiles also commented: "Natalie’s recognition for Outstanding SEND Practice is thoroughly deserved and reflects the exceptional dedication, expertise and compassion she brings to her role every day.
