Wellbeing During Exam Season
s the exam season begins, we would like to wish all our students the very best of luck in their GCSEs.
We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication you’ve shown, and we know you’ll approach your exams with determination and courage. You’ve got this!
But remember to please also take time for yourself and your wellbeing during this busy period. This time of year can bring stress, anxiety, and pressure, and it's okay to ask for help or take time to look after yourself.
Here are some practical ways to protect your mental health:
- Take regular breaks – even short pauses can refresh your mind
- Get outside – nature and fresh air can boost your mood
- Eat well and stay hydrated – good nutrition supports focus
- Get enough sleep – rest is key to performing at your best
- Talk about how you feel – don’t bottle things up
Support is always available, both in school and in the local community.
Within school:
Speak to our Pastoral Team, Form Tutors, or your Head of Year who are here to support you.
Local Services in Tameside:
- Tameside & Glossop Healthy Young Minds – support for emotional wellbeing
- TOG Mind – counselling and resilience programmes (togmind.org)
- 42nd Street – wellbeing services for young people across Greater Manchester (42ndstreet.org.uk)

- Samaritans – call 116 123 any time, day or night

- Good luck once again, we believe in each and every one of you.
Look after your mind and body, reach out if you need help, and be kind to yourself and each other.
