On Thursday 23rd September, Longdendale celebrated the European Day of Languages! All week Miss Rogers delivered an assembly to students about the importance of learning languages and how languages can be beneficial in life. She shared some of her own experiences and also some google translate fails! In lessons, students were answering to the registers in a number of foreign languages and also completed a range of exciting learning activities in lots of their lessons in either French or Spanish. Staff also took the opportunity to dress up as someone famous who speaks another language to spark conversations about different languages. It was a fantastic day and it was brilliant to see such enthusiasm about foreign languages from both students and staff!
