In October, the English department ran a theatre trip for Year 11 students studying Shakespeare's Macbeth to see a theatre production of the play. Ciaran Moss from 11P writes:
"Mrs Baxter-smallwood and Miss France took us to see the National Theatre's production of Macbeth at the Lowry Theatre in Manchester. It was an eerie, unnerving and psychological production with amazing sets and acting. The trip gave us a better understanding of the script we're studying and helps bring Shakespeare's words to life; we can apply the expression, acting and characterisation from the play to the lines we're studying in class. It was an amazing experience and everyone really enjoyed it."
